School grounds Bioblitz
Gemma Dunn from RSPB led our class on a Bioblitz of the school grounds. We used nets to go pond-dipping in the school pond where we were amazed at how many living things we found. We found newts, newt tadpoles and lots of tiny frogs and tadpoles as well as pond-skaters and water boatmen. We then went up to the orchard for a minibeast hunt where we found many different types of invertebrate including woodlice, harvestmen, earwigs and worms.
