Visit to the Tamara bridge STEAM Centre
We visited the Tamar Bridge STEAM Centre to find out all about how bridges are built. We worked in teams to build our own paper bridges then tested them to find out which bridge was the strongest. After that, we walked over the bridge, looking for all the features we had been learning about. We also investigated using cream eggs with crash helmets to find out how hard-hats protect the construction workers on the bridge! Many thanks to Juliette Jackson, our polar ambassador and Mrs Collins for arranging this trip and thanyou also to all the parents who came along to help.
